As Meechie and Mr. J arrived at the competition, they heard the announcer greeting
guests on the stage.
‘’Thank you for attending our national competition for young poets, writers, and public speakers,”
the announcer said. “I would like to congratulate all of our contestants for their participation.
Our next finalist coming to the stage is Meechie, let’s give him a hand!”
The crowd clapped loudly as Meechie proudly took the stage. As he approached center stage,
the crowd watched with anticipation as he whipped out “Mr. Mike” and placed it on the
microphone stand and began to speak loud and proud.
