“Good morning, Great ones!,” Mr. J said. “Good Morning, Mr. J,”

                                 “Today class, I have some very exciting news to share with you,”

                                 “Meechie, could you please come and stand front and center?”




         “Yes sir!”, “Class, do you all remember when Meechie won our school wide poetry writing contest?,” Mr. J asked.

           ‘’Yes sir,’’ the students responded.“Well Class, as we all know, our destiny is not written for us…,” starts Mr.

                                         J.“But, it’s written by us.” The class responds.




              “Do you know who said this?,” Mr. J asked.“President Barack Obama!,” The class responded.“Correct,”

                                                     Mr. J said proudly.




        “Dr. Parker-Bell and I were so impressed with the poem that Meechie created, that we entered his poem into the

         statewide poetry and public speaking contest,” Mr J shared. “We also submitted it to a magazine poetry contest,

          and I am happy to announce that he won 1st place in both contests, now he goes on to the national finals to

                                represent Gardenville Elementary School and this community!”




         ‘’Don’t forget my family, Mr. J!”, Meechie said with joy. “Oh Yes, I’m sure your family will be extremely proud of

                           you,” Mr. J said as the class cheered and applauded with great excitement.




               “Hold on, hold on, that’s not all, “Meechie will also receive a full-page feature in Jet Life magazine!”
